Adam Horowitz
Managing Director
adam Adam Horowitz is an Managing Director of AFC Realty Capital, Inc. Adam joined AFC in 2002 to continue focusing on structuring equity, mezzanine and debt transactions. He is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, structuring and negotiating transactions throughout the United States.

Adam brings to the firm an impressive roster of contacts in the development community and expertise in real estate capital markets. He has been leveraging his relationships among lenders, equity investors and developers to assist in the placement of debt and equity assignments and generate new business for the firm.

Mr. Horowitz brings 10 years of experience in commercial real estate mortgage finance, securitization and investment banking with heavy emphasis on underwriting for Hotel, Retail, Multifamily and Office transactions along with experience in multiple US markets, rating agency-underwriting guidelines and B-Piece Buyer requirements. 

Prior to joining AFC, Adam was the Director of Acquisition Strategies for a Northeastern multifamily REIT where he was responsible for real estate investment syndications with equity capital totaling $100 million. As President of his Condo Board for seven years, Adam has also been involved in the management of multifamily housing.

Recently he advised on and arranged financing for successful residential condominium conversions working with seasoned developers and an array of capital sources. He oversaw $150 million of residential condominium conversions, securing primary mortgage, mezzanine and equity finance that provided greater than expected equity returns.

Following his undergraduate studies, Adam worked in the technology and telecommunications sector and received his Masters in Technology Management from Steven's Institute of Technology. He is currently a member of the ULI, ICSC, MBA, UJA’s Real Estate Division and is on the board of the Young Mortgage Bankers Association. 

Adam dedicates much of his philanthropic efforts to the National Foundation for Teaching Entrepreneurship where he assists in developing national programs for young people from low-income communities. .
